Peace*Love*Dessert specializes in Specialty Cakes, Weddings Cakes, Cupcakes and Cookies, custom designed for your special event in the Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington areas. We are a Portland/Vancouver based Custom Cake company providing quality service at weddings, parties, baby showers, bridal showers, fundraisers, corporate events, birthday and anniversary parties, as well as just about any other social gathering or event.

Alia Pierson-Owner/Designer

Alia has been designing cakes since 2008. Always wanting to be an artist, she received her degree in Theatre Arts and Media Management from San Diego State University. Baking was always a passion since childhood, but it wasn't until she got married and started a successful dessert catering business in San Diego, she really dove into the world of desserts and pastries. After 6 years of business, the Piersons' sold the catering business and moved to the Great Northwest in 2008, where cakes became a true artform for her. The combination of artistry and baking made her smitten with cakes and after A LOT of practice, Peace*Love*Dessert was born.Along with running and operating Peace*Love*Dessert, she is selling her hand-made fondant figurines and cupcake toppers on Etsy!
All of our work is customized and made with the highest quality ingredients. At Peace*Love*Dessert, we make all of our cakes, cupcakes and cookies from scratch and each is made to order. Each cake includes 3 layers of cake and 2 layers of filling! We only use fresh ingredients, including real butter, milk, flour, sugar and eggs! This ensures freshness of the product, not to mention a 'to-die-for' taste!Check out what past clients have said!

Q. Why Choose PLD?Alia is a Private Designer that works one-on-one with each and every client. Every cake is baked, decorated and delivered by her. PLD cakes, cupcakes and cookies are always baked fresh, from scratch and are unique with the attention to detail exceeding expectations. Experience in the event industry for 10 years. Q. How far In advance do I need to order my cake?Peace*Love*Dessert limits the number of cakes per week and recommended booking time is at least 2-4 weeks in advance. However, don't hesitate to contact us if your event is less than 2-4 weeks away because we may still have availability:) During the peak wedding season, June through August, PLD only books one wedding per weekend, as a result, early booking is recommended.Q: How much do your cakes cost?Due to the custom nature of each cake or event, every price varies. Pricing is based upon size (number of servings) and design. For a price quote, please feel free to e-mail your cake details, including: date, number of guests, type of event, theme (if any), and any other design ideas. Q. Can you design a cake specifically for my event?Absolutely! Alia loves to design cakes that match your specific theme such as intricate lace, invitations, colors, etc. Q. Can I choose a different flavor for each tier?Yes you can. Each cake is made onto its own cake board- therefore no two flavors actually touch! Click Here for the full list of our available flavors Q. How far in advance do you make your cakes?All cakes are baked 1-2 days in advance depending on the design involved. We are a scratch baking company and pride ourselves on delicious cakes made with the highest quality ingredients. Each cake is made-to-order ensuring that the cake is fresh the day of delivery. Q. Do you offer tastings?Yes! We offer custom cake samples at your consultation (up to 3 flavors). Tastings are $20 which is applied towards the total cost of your cake. Tastings are only available for events with 100 or more guests. Q. How can I schedule a Consultation/Tasting?For fastest service, email us at info_peacelovedessert.com, fill out our contact form here. Consultations are by appointment only Saturdays 10am-3pm. If you are unable to attend a consultation- We are more than happy to provide formal quotes via email . Q. Where are you located?Consultations/Tastings are done at our office location in Uptown Vancouver. Photo Albums are available for viewing. Please contact Peace*Love*Dessert for specific details. Q. What are your methods of payment?Payments can be made by check, cash or PayPal. Q. Are special dietary requirements catered for?Peace*Love*Dessert currently has dairy free and gluten free options. Prices vary. Please advise of any specific dietary requirements necessary.Q. Do you deliver?Yes! Delivery is included with every order within Vancouver, WA. There is a $25 fee per 30 minutes outside the area. Q. How do I reserve my cake? Weddings:$100 Non-refundable deposit required to secure event date. The deposit is applied towards the total cost of the cake.Full payment is due 30 days prior to the event.Cancellations less than 90 days of the event forfeit all payments. If a cancellation is received more than 90 days of the event, all payments minus the deposit will be refunded. Specialty Cakes/Cupcakes:If order is less than $100, full payment is required to book date.For orders more than $100, a $50 non-refundable deposit is require to secure event date with full payment due 2 weeks prior to the event.
